Mince onion and slice (not chop) the avocado and tomatoes. Wash the alfalfa sprouts.
Combine cream cheese, parmesan cheese, onion, and sour cream until well blended.
Assemble the sandwiches in this order and DO NOT PUT THE TOP SLICE OF BREAD ON THE SANDWICHES YET: One slice rye bread, cream cheese spread, sliced turkey (do not put turkey on 4 of the sandwiches so that there is a vegetarian option), tomato slice, avocado slice, and cheese slice. ASSEMBLE ON A BAKING TRAY.
Put trays on the top rack of the oven and set to "Broil" and broil for 3 to 5 minutes or until cheese melts. Remove from oven.
Top with alfalfa sprouts and another slice of bread.
